After seaching for the right material, we finally settled on a rich green slate that is from the region of Bihar in northern India near the border with Nepal. The simple designs took on a new life with this stunning stone, especially after the craftsmen expertly cut and polished each piece by hand. This Bihar Mid-Century Vase is small in stature by huge in style with all of the incredile texture and depth of green slate within it.
